Strawberry/raspberry patch

The feet planted some strawberries last week and were working on the raspberries this week. The feet expect big things from these berries. The feet are master jam makers.

It took the feet about 4 hours to dig out the trench for the strawberries. It was all shale. So the feet had to smash it to bits. It was excavated to about a foot down and then filled with garden soil. 2 kinds of strawberries - Cavendish and AC Valley Sunset.




















The next trench for the raspberries. Easier to dig. Not as much shale. The raspberries should produce this year but the feet won't be eating the strawberries until 2012.




















Foot Jr was also helping out. Quite a helpful little foot.
